This spot began with only the physician interview. Other editors tried to spin it into a story, but didn’t quite get it working. I decided to try my hand, because I felt Dr. Schwartz was an interesting character and the interview had a lot of potential. I added some quirky music and used stock footage as placeholders for the kind of material the spot needed. We then developed a shot list around that and filmed to the shot list.
